How you can help us
Action for Tinnitus Research works relentlessly to raise awareness of tinnitus in support of the millions of tinnitus sufferers in the UK, and to fund leading edge tinnitus research. Your donations and support help us to continue our work.
You can help us in many different ways.
We are dependent on donations to fund research. There are many ways you can give your support, from giving us a donation to remembering us in your will. You can also become a friend of Action for Tinnitus Research. We also need volunteers to help with campaigns, and social research. And don't forget to tell your friends and family about us. You will be surprised how many people you know either have tinnitus or know somebody who does.
Make a Donation
We depend on donations to continue funding research into tinnitus. There are a number of gift-giving options:
Online Donations
You can make a secure donation via our page on the JustGiving website.
Donate by cheque
You can send your donation by post: Donate by cheque .
Standing Order
A monthly donation made by banker's order gives us the confidence to plan ahead and also saves us administration costs and we can reclaim nearly a third extra through the Gift Aid Scheme. Donate by Standing Order.
Legacy Giving
If your estate is likely to attract inheritance tax, a gift to Action for Tinnitus Research could reduce the liability and could remove it completely if the donations take the value of your estate below the 275,000 (2005/2006) tax threshold.
In a recent survey, 70% of people questioned said they would like to help a nominated charity in their will, but only 4% got round to doing it.
Gift Aid
If you pay income tax, let us know. Each pound you donate could be worth another 28 pence to us, at no cost to you. And, higher rate taxpayers can claim back 23 pence on the pound on donations.
We can claim back tax against all your donations since 6 April 2000, provided you are a UK taxpayer. However, you must pay an amount in income or capital gains that is equal to or greater than the tax we reclaim on your donation.
As a UK taxpayer your donation could be worth an extra 28% in reclaimed tax. Tell me more...
